DAWGS DOMINATE DIV 4 FINALS
DAWGS CLAIM CHAMPIONSHIP IN FOUR-GAME THRILLER OVER JAGR BOMBS
The Dawgs have done it! In an electric four-game series packed with grit, goals, and grind, the Dawgs took down the Jagr Bombs 3 games to 1 to capture the Division 4 Mighty Peace Cup championship — and they did it in commanding fashion.
Game 1: Dawgs Set the Tone
The series opened on March 18 at Bonnetts Energy Centre, and it was the Dawgs who came out swinging. With balanced scoring from Friesen, Riley Cook, and Kelby Cook, the Dawgs held off a late push from the Jagr Bombs to snag a 3–2 win and set the tone for the series.
Game 2: Jagr Bombs Bounce Back
On March 23, the Jagr Bombs found their spark. Down 3–1 entering the third, they erupted for three unanswered goals — including two on the power play from Cory Meeuwissen — to steal Game 2 by a score of 4–3. The comeback had the crowd roaring and the series tied.
Game 3: Dawgs Dial In
With the series shifting to Crosslink County Sportsplex on March 24, the Dawgs locked in defensively. Goaltender Jared Lee posted a shutout, while Riley Cook and Garrett Smith provided the offense in a clinical 2–0 victory. The Dawgs reclaimed the series lead and moved one win away from the title.
Game 4: Championship Clinched
And what a closer it was. Back at Bonnetts for Game 4 on March 26, the Dawgs exploded offensively, putting up five goals in a commanding 5–2 win to seal the deal. Patrick Stewart led the way with a goal and an assist, while Tyson McDonald added a power-play marker. The Dawgs left no doubt, dominating in all three zones and skating off with the championship hardware.
