Wapiti Players League Gives Back in a Big Way

The Wapiti Players League (WPL) is proud to announce a major give-back initiative that supports both the community and its teams. This season, the league is donating $10,000 to a local youth program, to be chosen in the coming months. The contribution reflects the WPL’s commitment to supporting local youth athletes grow and thrive through sport.

In addition, the league is crediting $750 to each of the 27 returning teams for the upcoming 2025-26 season. This gesture recognizes the dedication and loyalty of the teams who continue to make the WPL strong year after year.

“These teams and communities are the heart of our league,” said WPL Director of Officials, Travis Arbeau. “We want to make sure we’re giving back to the teams and the same grassroots programs that helped many of us get started in sports.”

With over $30,000 going directly back into the community and teams, the WPL is not only building a great hockey experience today but also investing in the future of local sport.
